Caca Boudin directly translates to “poo-black-pudding-sausage“, although a more apt translation would be “Poo Bum”. French children learn this cheeky word in the playground – it’s similar to na-na-ni-na-na for English children, only slightly ruder.
Monty has a book called Poo Bum about a rabbit who only says Poo Bum. And so, one of Monty’s favourite toys (also a rabbit) has taken on the name Caca Boudin (Poo Bum). Here they are sleeping soundly together.
